I start off by sketching the outline of my preplanned picture and after that I outline it with hot beeswax.

Than I begin to build my picture with colored ink starting from the lightest color and work my way to the darkest.

Moreover between the layers of color I like to use paraffin wax to protect the light colors from getting stained by the darker ones.

The last step in the painting process is to choose a well thought out background color which can be cracked with a darker shade of the same color or any other dark color.

Additionally next I remove the wax with the help of a hot iron and newspaper, and we are all done with our beautiful batik painting. To finish my work removing the wax.
